Keeping Kids Healthy and Fit
At UFO we run a fun fitness program for children ages 5-12yrs to keep them healthy and fit. The program develops and promotes health and wellbeing of today’s children in an active fun exercise session.
Today’s lifestyle our children have replaced playing outside or sport for T.V, computers, playstations and WII video games. Our kids are becoming victims of inactive, unmotivated, unhealthy lifestyles and their health is deteriorating. At such a young age we are dealing with ‘Obesity’, ‘heart disease’, ‘high blood pressure’ and ‘Diabetes’. No one needs to start out a life with self esteem issues and social inequalities. That is exactly what obese children can look forward to each year as they grow older. If your child is carrying too much weight or shows signs of going down that path, it’s up to you to change it. The good news is that the majority of the causes of obesity can be controlled through changes in lifestyle. Teaching your children the importance of fitness and proper nutrition is vital to maintain health. Starting with exercise, half an hour every day, send the kids outside to ride bikes, skateboard, or get them involved in playing a sport. Making proper food choices for your child is extremely important. One quick tip- Is to have prepared healthy nutritious snacks for your child at all times eg Fresh fruit, homemade snacks not processed food.
Our Goal at UFO is to allow the kids to have fun in a range of physical activities that:
- improves hand & eye co-ordination
- increases cardiovascular fitness
- improves strength
- helps with posture and flexibility
- encourage sports associated agility & speed
We provide a safe environment for the kids to have fun active exercise. Each program is conducted and designed by Qualified Personal Trainers that provide a supportive, fun exercise session where kids of all skill level and abilities can participate.
UFO KID FIT exercise session includes a range of fun exercises and activities such as circuit training, boxing, low & high impact exercises and core conditioning.
